Fasting and Feeding the Hungry

Our ancient religious practices DO matter in this modern world, and in some surprisingly practical ways. Even our discipline of fasting from meat turns out to be a matter of practical love for our neighbor, and an act of charity towards those who need it most.

Fasting and Feeding the Hungry is a presentation I gave at the Orthodox Young Professional’s Retreat 2015. This presentation shows the connection between the modern ecological crisis and our spiritual disciplines, and is followed by a discussion of our privilege and responsibility as Orthodox Christians. Ancient Faith Radio has recorded the audio, and the presentation slides are available for download below, as a PDF file.
